Oh, go on then We're not going to lie, we've seen some pretty god-awful football kits in our time on this earth. There have been full-lilac away stripsrubber-latex body suits and, of course, kits made to look like tuxedos - all of which are just downright unacceptable. However, FC Koln have now produced something that transgresses the bounds of everyday acceptability.

In fact, it's so weird that it's basically short-circuited our normal brain functions - and so apparently transported us back to the year Deed to look like a red waistcoat with an elaborate set of buttons, it's the sort of thing an eighteenth century manservant to Frederick the Great would have worn. With shorts, obviously.

In fairness to the club, Karneval is a traditional festive occasion in Cologne - they've clearly got a tad carried away while cultivating the party spirit. This is bound to distract VfB Stuttgart ahead of their weekend Bundesliga clash, anyway.
